American companies might fully comply with the DSA and Digital Markets Act yet face lawsuits or investigations for failing to prevent posts purportedly containing sensitive data. The current U.S. administration already characterizes EU digital legislation as undermining American interests, particularly speech rights that historically enjoy bipartisan support.
